LOGic8 installs to its own directory, and does so cleanly. Not everything
you have modified or created comes along. Standby for an email I'm just
completing.

Subject: [LOGic] LOGic8 - Any advice on installation
Hi group,
I'll be installing LOGic8 today and as I haven't been keeping up on all the
posts regarding any installation challenges I was curious if any have had
issues regarding installing LOGic8 on the same machine as LOGic7.
Of course it will be installed in a different directory, but I was wondering
if there are any other tidbits regarding the install. I had some issues
regarding LOGic7 and I remember that that was the first time I left a
previous version of LOGic installed and it seemed to result in some minor
program issues that are still un-resolved as of today. I might be
stretching to assume that they were associated with having LOGic6 installed,
but, one never knows.
Anyways, as I was reading through the LOGic8 manual it stated that the
installation finds the data and set-up from LOGic7 and copies it (except for
custom logforms and reports) to LOGic8.
I'm sure this includes the user defined data as well as the countries list,
etc., etc., but if not please post what it didn't copy.
I just got a new PC up and running as well, fully de-bugged and running
flawlessly. I'm running Windows XP Pro so if anyone has experienced any
issues regarding LOGic8 and this OS please post any comments.
Thanks to all,
73 de N8GLS, Brad
