[Logic] Re: Power - Carry Value Forward to New Record????

The other day I wrote asking for assistance in getting something other than 
"100" to appear as the default in the Pwr (Power) field. There were 
several replies, one was from Mel.Martin. Mel and I exchanged several 
subsequent private Emails and he provided the following info:
The way I have it set up is with 100W in the Global default screen and 
nothing on the log setup.
BTW, if you make changes to the log defaults, you may have to reload the 
form...
The way it works is as follows.... it doesn't copy from the previous QSO.
When you override the power level on a NEW contact, it then becomes the new 
default power. It has to be a NEW contact.
If you save the previous QSO, then change the power after it was initially 
saved, the new "default" hasn't been overwritten, so the next NEW contact 
will still use the original power default.
Make sense?
I tried it and it works the way Mel says.
BTW. In the course of trying to find a solution to this problem, I 
experimented with the idea of removing the global power default value set 
up under Station Info and use instead the default values established in the 
individual log form setup options. That didn't work either because "Power" 
does not appear in the drop down list to indicate where the default value 
should be placed.
Maybe when Dennis has time he can address this issue.
