Fellow users - I need to find out info. for debugging purposes.
I need to learn:
1. who is using LOGic7 on a computer enabled for Hyperthreading / multiprocessor (virtual) enabled?
2. if hyperthreading is enabled, do you ever experience a "stoppage" of LOGic7? Meaning, do you lose communications perhaps between LOGic7 and rig? Does LOGic7 ever hang, stop, act weird, etc? And you have to restart LOGic7?
3. If yes to above, what make rig?
4. What is processor info and OS info?
To help you, if you do not know how to find out some of your computer info, here's how:
Q1. What Processor?
A1. Go to Control Panel > System and click on the General tab.. Here you can see your:
System:
OS (XP), OS model (Professional), OS version (2002), Service Pack (2).
Manufactured and supported by:
Dell Computer Corporation
Dell DIMENSION 8300
Processor:
Intel
Pentium 4 CPU 3.00GHz
2.99GHZ, 1.00 GB of RAM
Q2. How do I know if my computer is Hyperthreading enabled?
A2. Go to Control Panel > System and click on the Hardware tab. Now click on Device Manager.
Here you will see a tree structure of items including: Computer, Disk Drives, etc.
Click on Computer to expand it.
Does it say something like: ACPI Multiprocessor PC ?
Now scroll further down the items and click to expand Processors.
Does it say something like:
Intel(R) Pentium(R) 4 CPU 3.00GHZ
Intel(R) Pentium(R) 4 CPU 3.00GHZ
If it does, you have one processor, set to function as a multiprocessor, hyperthreading.
TIA for your info and help. Regards, Bill K1UQ
