Hi Julio,
Dennis wrote the program and I cannot speak for him but here's the way
I see it:
LOGic 7 adds new columns (i.e. data) to the prefix table and log
fields. Thus, I would not copy over those *.dbf files. Unless Dennis
chimes in and says differently, you may very well have to spend the
time to re-setup and re-edit those tables. Again, I don't know the
answer so I would err on the side of caution and not copy over the
*.dbf file blindly. You might as well be safe with your data right?
However, list of valid values appears to be of the same dbf structure,
so you can copy over ../logic6/logdata/lists.dbf into your
../logic7/logdata/ subdirectory. If you've made a lot of changes in
VE PROV and ARRL SECT due to recent discussions on this reflector, you
will not need to do it again in LOGic 7.
I haven't played with LOGic 7 enough to see if you can copy over
customized index setup files yet (tools->advanced->index setup
info...). I hope so as I've indexced many many columns of my logform
for quick sorting.
Bottom line though and this is really important, do not delete LOGic 6
from your computer until you have LOGic set up the way you like it.
Enjoy LOGic 7. It's awesome.
