[Logic] Batch changes to log

Keith:
The answer to your first question is easy. Why would you export to any
other program when you can accomplish this in Logic in about 1 second. You
can make changes to your whole log anytime with database commands. Just
click on Tools menu, then advanced, then database commands.
Then type the command "use log" without the quotes
Then type the command: replace operator with "callsign" for
qso_date=<1/1/97
Of course put the actual callsign in the above quotes (you also keep the
quotes) and the correct date at the end.
Also back up your log before you do this in case anything goes wrong.

Subject: [Logic] Batch changes to log
Hi all,
I need to modify my log for LOTW purposes. I need to change the operator
callsign on my early entries to my old call so that lotw will recognize
them. Can I export the log to excel make the change and then import the
corrected log back into logic. I can get the file out in csv form but
trying to get it back in is a challenge.
Also, I looked at the earlier thread concerning Hamscopes activation of
Logic 7 but there was really no definitive answer. What do I have to do
with directory names or file names to get logic to open when Hamscope is
opened like it did in v6.
Last but not least, I am trying to get the telnet window to automatically
send my call to a web cluster for logging in purposes. Has anyone done this
type of automation yet?
Thanks es very 73
