Yes...Art is correct. I have encountered this same issue and it is still =
a
problem. The problem is best illustrated by setting the speed correction =
to
a value of -999.0 in the setup tab of the Keyer form. Once you set that =
and
then run the test again, the speed will be reduced quite a bit. I get a =
code
speed of 200 wpm something and you do see the test message appear in the =
box
PARIS PARIS PARIS this time. I have reported this twice to Dennis and so =
far
he has not come out with a fix. As in your case the keying is correct
because Writelog continues to work as well TRX Manager and other =
programs.
All of these programs key CW fine and the same as before. Dennis said =
that
it has to do with the way LOGic calculates time. Dennis uses a different
method then the other programs mentioned. In my case, I was using LOGic =

already and I upgraded my computer from a Pentium 3 850mhz w/384 RAM to
Pentium 4 3.06ghz with HT and 1gb of RAM. This is when the problem =
began. I
hope this bring further light to this issue and hopefully Dennis will =
come

I recently moved from LOGic 5 to 6 and I'm trying to get the CW keying =
to=20
work on a serial port. When I send text using the Keyer screen, the rig=20
keys for a fraction of a second and then nothing. I am confident my=20
interface is working correctly because it will key the radio when I hit =
the=20
TUNE button on the Keyer screen and it works correctly with WriteLog.
It is as if the computer is sending the text at hyperspeed. When I run =
the=20
speed test on the SETUP tab I get strange results:
	Test took -0.013 seconds. Actual speed is -22763 WPM.
Changing the WPM and Weight settings on the Keyer screen has no effect.
Any ideas would be appreciated.
