I wrote earlier that the SPOT log was getting spots form DXTELNET ok in
Logic 6 DEMO VERSION but unfortunately I spoke too soon. After about 6 hours
it stopped accepting them and would accept no more. Ending Logic 6 and
starting LOGIC 5 caused all the spots to start showing up again IN LOGIC 5
but not 6 even if I want back to 6.
This may a problem with the demo only, my copy will be here Sat or early
next week and I will try again. If not the demo only then this should be
investigated. I posted earlier about how to set up to make DXTELNET work and
it does reliably with logic 5, all day long and no problem.
One possibility is that I had a screen saver running and perhaps when it
start up it killed the spots, not sure? I did not let the power management
turn of the monitor or hard disk though and no standby, all those settings
are never.
After running 5 for a while I just started 6 again and it seems to be
working. I will leave the screen saver off and let it run all night to see
what happens and report. Very strange behavior but who knows, it may be some
system setup thing. I only installed XP this week?
I do hope my post about setting up DXTELNET encourages some others to try it
and they report what they see. DXTELNET is so much better for spotting than
anything else I have tried that works with Logic. The DXLABS things might be
good but do not have the link.
