Richard,
Thot Id reply to you directly.....Yes some are using a USB type of card as
you explained. At first I thot , sure that is the way to go but others said
they had problems at first with the USB type and having to reboot until new
drivers were installed from there website....Other guys said they are using
a 8 serial port board which sounds appealing but i'll bet I wud hv problems
with assigning that many ports,irq,I/O,etc as it seems my new computer is
using up everything with lots of different devices such as two cd roms(one
being a burner) , etc...plus I have a camera and PDA plugged into my USB
slots and usually I hv to reboot just to get my Hotsync to wrk (dont no
why) as it wrks fine on my computer at wrk, so I think I will just order the
one you gave me and not take a chance on the 8 port jobber which would be
nice if it wrkd hihi.....I barely get by with this computer stuff, I didnt
know the difference between this ISA and PCI stuff but hv a better
understanding nw:-) I want something I can just plug in -
Tnxs for taking the time to inform me on the item number, price and place to
buy. Greatly appreciated my friend.....
Take care,
Blessings to you and yours -
73, Steve N6TT
