I did try that, but it ends up with a huge list of errors.
gcc -o lui.so -shared -framework Foundation -framework AppKit
-fPIC -Isrc src/lui.c -I ../lua-src -I ../libui -L . -lui
Undefined symbols for architecture x86_64:
