I agree that ranking is highly dubious in its methodology. But I hope it
still shows a trend. As such I wonder if it is converging with
subscription/unsubscription to the list for example.
I also like to have more qualitative input from the list, something
like:
- have you used Lua?

Experimentally,
no
- are you intending to use it in future:
Yes and more
Yes like now
Yes but less
No, hard to convince third part
No, as I always want to experiment new stuff
No, unsatisfied (reasons?)
Knowing that only motivated users might be on the list.

I'm hardly worried - I imagine the Lua community is using Lua because
it's generally fantastic for what it was designed for, not because
it's 'fashionable' in some dubious ranking. :)
