Thanks for the info.
I know there is a risk of swapping the board. It's a gamble to see if I can
recover the data myself. My son, who is 18, is missing about 1/2 of his music
collection because of this but he does not want to pay the big bucks for a
recovery service. I told him it was unlikely to recover the data - but I'd see
what I could do :-)
