Re: [PLUG] CPU overheating warnings
I saw this problem with a certain 2.6 kernel. I forget which one exactly.

Subject: [PLUG] CPU overheating warnings
Odd problem. My homebuilt linux box- running Mandriva Linux 2007- keeps
complaining giving me syslog warnings that the CPU is running over
threshold temperature. This despite the fact that I have two case fans,
a working heatsink + fan, and ample thermal grease on the CPU itself.
As an experiment, I booted w/a Kubuntu liveCD, and it did not complain
about heat. This leads me to suspect a problem w/the configuration of
Mandriva's warnings.
Any ideas of how I could adjust the syslog CPU temp thresholds in
Mandriva? Googling was not very helpful.
Thx.
