I had a couple of friends solve this in a rather unique way. Of course
this has a few requirements with it, that you may/may not have or want
to have.
Friend #1 - Gamer Geek Method.
He did something very interesting. He took an XBox and hacked it so that
it would mount a share from his network. From there, he could flip
around his play lists and what not with his cordless xbox controller.
Friends #2 - The Non Gamer Geek Method.
What this friend did was something a bit more straight forward. He has a
TiVO set, that basically mounts up the share via wireless network and
plays it from either his windows laptop or his *nix server.
Might not be what you're looking for, but thought i would mention the
solutions.
