I have discs for RH8, Mandrake 9.1, and Free BSD 4.8. I don't have a connection that would make downloading ISOs reasonable. Suggestions?
Go with Mandrake 9.1; it integrates with Window$ client pretty well and it's easy to use.
Why not 9.2? Other than a Samba glitch (easily solved), it works great for me.
From my experience with Mandrake 9.2 on a laptop and the fact that 9.2 will break the firmware on certain LG CD-ROM drives, I would only recommend Mandrake 9.1. Most of the problems I had with 9.2 on the laptop were due to power management issues caused by the newer kernel config. Also, already having the 9.1 discs is a plus!
