RE: [PLUG] Installing a Java VM

Depends on what you want to do with it.
I like IBM's, and you need it if you want to run StarOffice or AnyJ
(http://www.netcomputing.de/). Blackdown won't work with StarOffice
because of the difference in threading models (green vs. native). I think
Oracle has to have BlackDown. They come in a tar file, so just download
them and extract them where you want them.

Subject:	[PLUG] Installing a Java VM
Okay...considering trying to install a new Java VM (1.2????). It HAS to
work with Netscape 4.7 and still be usable for other things (like
development).
I hear of Blackdown, IBM, and others who have Java VM's (and Borland with
their JIT compiler).
Which is the best?
Where do I get them?
How do I install them?
This is a topic (like recompiling egcs) that isn't discussed (Probably for
obvious reason).
Pointers are appreciated.
