so if this modem wasn't a winmodem...all I would have to do to get it to work under linux is plug it in and make sure that /dev/modem points to the correct place...and dial away correct?? No where on this box does it say that it is a winmodem..and the web site doesn't say that as well..or at least my eyes chose to ignore it!!!
