Richard Waller

Waller published The Posthumous Works of Robert Hooke in 1705. He was secretary of the Royal Society for almost 30 years and editor of Philosophical Transactions for a short time between Halley and Sloane when he and Leeuwenhoek exchanged letters.

Leeuwenhoek sent him a copy of the 1687 Anatomia seu interiora rerum, the version with the two misspellings in the title. On one of the flyleaves, Waller wrote:
