Master of European Studies: Transnational and Global Perspectives (MAES) In the interdisciplinary one-year (60 ECTS) 'Master of European Studies: Transnational and Global Perspectives' (MAES) we educate about Europe as a region of historical diversities as well as intense interactions across national boundaries and exchanges with the outside world. MAES welcomes ambitious and talented students from all over the world and from various disciplinary backgrounds. A top-level interdisciplinary, research-based education enables our graduates to anticipate and find solutions for complex challenges created by a globalising world that transcend national and disciplinary borders. https://ghum.kuleuven.be/++resource++plone-logo.svg

Orientation days September 2025

From the 15th of September, KU Leuven organizes Orientation days for international students . There is even an early bird programme starting on the 10th. We highly recommend participation in the Orientation days as this offers a great opportunity to get to know the university, the city and fellow students.

On the 19th of September, the MAES programme, organizes an introductory session, followed by a keynote lecture by Tomas Baert, trade advisor to the European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen and a reception for students and staff. You can find more information via the button below and we look forward to welcoming you here!
