FX Experience Has Gone Read-Only

I've been maintaining FX Experience for a really long time now, and I love hearing from people who enjoy my weekly links roundup. One thing I've noticed recently is that maintaining two sites (FX Experience and JonathanGiles.net) takes more time than ideal, and splits the audience up. Therefore, FX Experience will become read-only for new blog posts, but weekly posts will continue to be published on JonathanGiles.net. If you follow @FXExperience on Twitter, I suggest you also follow @JonathanGiles. This is not the end - just a consolidation of my online presence to make my life a little easier!

Gerrit Grunwald has posted a color chooser control he built.
Florian Brunner has made two releases of Drombler FX – the modular application framework for JavaFX.
Pedro DV has released FXRibbon 1.2.
Amanda Hinchman-Dominguez presented at KotlinConf 2018 about ‘Kotlin and TornadoFX: The Next Frontier in Modern (Meta)Programming‘.

Thomas Nield has given a talk on Kotlin and mathematical modelling, and how JavaFX is used to visualise this. He also has a blog post specifically about the challenge of animating the ‘traveling salesman’ problem with JavaFX.
I missed one of Dirk Lemmermann’s JavaFX tips – this one on ScrollPane with a DropShadow.
jaxenter has published a three-part interview with a few people from the JavaFX community (myself included), in relation to the just-released JavaFX 11. You can read part one, part two, and part three.
Kirill Grouchnikov has resurfaced after a long absence to publish a library on GitHub called radiance, which is a “set of libraries for building modern, elegant, and fast Swing applications”.

Herb Bowie has converted his Notenik note taking application from Swing to JavaFX in Notenik 2.
