Faculty-related policies and procedures such as those related to appointment, leaves, and promotion and tenure.
Faculty development programs, workshops, and fellowships, many of which are offered through our outstanding Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning.
Leadership programming for university administrators and department chairs and management of GSU’s awards process to recognize outstanding faculty through a range of university-wide and system-wide awards.

Faculty Highlights & News
The Office of Faculty Affairs is accepting nominations for the Regents’ Professorships, Distinguished University Professorships and Georgia State Faculty Awards. Application materials will be submitted via Interfolio. Colleges should work with their Interfolio Administrators to create the award nomination case(s). The deadline for award nominations is Dec. 12, 2025. Any changes or updates will be announced by campus email. Click the link to this posting for further details.

The Office of Faculty Affairs and the Office of the Provost are delighted to announce the inaugural cohort of the Academic Leadership Institute for Faculty (ALI). ALI is a new initiative designed to cultivate leadership excellence and serve as a hub for leadership development at Georgia State.
