   cmds

   The options to be passed to the slaves

   parameters

   The hyperparameters we want to tune, assumed to be a subset of cmds

   executor

   A function which will train the model and return its quality

   numTrials

   How many executors should start

   numToFinish

   How many executors we wait for (to account for stragglers)

   secondsToSleep

   How many seconds do we sleep for between polling the executors.
