Mt. Hakuto View Point

Mt Hakuto View Point is at an altitude of 815 meters. The 2 km long trail starts from the Akankohan Ski Area. The trail has many attractions on the way to the view point such as fields of beautiful alpine plants and volvanic mud pools, making the place an ideal spots for day-picnic. The observatory commands a breathtaking view of Lake Akan and Mt. Oakan. On summer and autumn mornings, you might encounter "sea of clouds" from the mountaintop. The return trip takes about 1 hour and a half.
