The Decision Analysis Society is a community of practitioners, educators, and researchers committed to delivering practical, science-based guidance to decision-makers in today’s uncertain and fast-paced world. Our mission is to build the intellectual foundations of decision-making, with a shared focus on advancing its theory, application, and teaching.
Our origins are rooted in groundbreaking, Nobel Prize-winning contributions, including the subjective expected utility model, Bayesian inference, and prospect theory. Today, our research draws from diverse disciplines, such as the psychology of judgment and choice (e.g., behavioral heuristics and biases), risk analysis, and methodologies for engaging multiple stakeholders (e.g., game theory and negotiation). We continue to drive innovation by developing best practices – bridging human and machine learning, harnessing data analytics, and applying cutting-edge techniques at-scale to address complex societal challenges.
