The project purpose:

To improve knowledge of state officials and businessmen of potential and mechanisms of Emissions Trading Systems.

The project main results:

• a study tour for private and public sector representatives participating in ETS (Ministry for Environment, KazNIIEK) from Kazakhstan to the Netherlands
• a seminar in Kazakhstan for ministries and associated agencies in support of the implementation and operation of the scheme
• trainings for the private sector in Kazakhstan with a compliance position under the future ETS and service companies that can support the ETS
