I think my favourite role of his was as the caring priest in DOUBT, though everyone in THE BIG LEBOWSKI is on my "like" list.

These are the inks for a now-cancelled project. It was a cool blend of Norse mythology and contemporary espionage/military action -- which should explain the handgun.

The project was cancelled while I was in the process of inking, so I went further with the rendering knowing it was unlikely to even be coloured.

This is actually my second pass on my annual tradition of drawing a zombie for the blog every January. The first one was too similar to the Midnight Harvest drawings (and may very well end up in that book if I can find the room).

Opted for a more subtle hand on the gore than in times past.

Closure from the Midnight Harvest art book.

Of all the 31 Inktober drawings, this is the one that really crawled under my skin and creeped me out.

As I’m typing this there are just 13 hours left for the Midnight Harvest Kickstarter. Thanks to backer support, the book is now a hardcover with an additional 12 page horror comic story I’ll write, draw, and colour. We are also over 40% of the way to another stretch goal and making the book dimensions larger.

27 of the 31 drawings have already been coloured, Over a third of the interior drawings have already been claimed as rewards as well.

I’ve been offering first-chance options on new art rewards to backers and just opened up sketch cover commissions exclusively to backers from a limited supply of these blank Marvel and DC books I have on hand.

I’d used this coloured piece for the Kickstarter announcement, but never showed it on its own. It was the second I drew for Inktober and the second I coloured, though Freshest was the first.

Looking at it on the colour calendar it might feel too full of light, so I may recolour it before the book goes to press.

Back to colouring these in the order they were drawn. I had just watched AMERICAN MARY prior to drawing this one and I think I was trying to capture the glorious intensity of the main character.

When I was about to launch the Midnight Harvest project on Kickstarter I intended to opt for the usual thirty-day window which would have closed on Saturday, December 14.

I had to stop and think for a minute . . .

This was a book of Inktober drawings inspired by Halloween, horror and all the things I like best about October. How could I not choose to end it a day earlier when that day would be Friday the 13th?! It made this a 29 day campaign, but I didn't think a day would really make that big a difference.

So, this Friday at 11:59PM the window to help make this book of darkly erotic drawings happen closes.

I'm hoping Friday the 13th will be a lucky day!
