Your Sophomore Year
You’ve successfully made it to your sophomore year. We can help you develop and refine your academic and career goals.
Your Junior Year
Your advisor assists you in evaluating your academic and personal goals and helps calculate your successful progression to graduation and beyond.
Your Senior Year
Undergraduate students who have earned 90 hours or more and have declared a major receive advisement from their college, school or institute’s Office of Academic Assistance.
Perimeter College Students
Perimeter College has advisors available to help you achieve your academic goals. Advisors are at each of our five campuses around Atlanta and online.

We are happy to help you change your major or pathway even if you cannot come to campus. Your advisor can meet with you via phone, email or through a scheduled Webex advising session. Your advisor will discuss any entrance or prerequisite requirements for your new major or pathway and assist you in completing a change of major or pathway form via an online format. You can connect with a member of your academic advising team through the Navigate Student mobile app, the Navigate webpage or by phone.
Your advisor can assist you with creating an academic plan or adjusting an existing academic plan via a phone appointment, email appointment or by Webex. Your advisor will be happy to work with you to review your academic evaluation and email you an updated academic plan based on your specific needs, with your degree evaluation and major or pathway requirements in mind. If you have received academic advisement this semester, and need another copy of your plan, email your advisor or call the University Advisement Center.
If you see academic holds on your account reach out to your advisor regarding the type of hold you are experiencing. You can connect with a member of your academic advising team through the Navigate Student mobile app, the Navigate webpage or by phone. You should see hold information listed in your PAWS account. Depending on the hold, your advisor will assist you on the steps needed to remove the hold to allow you to register.
Your advisor can assist you in completing the paperwork for cross-level registration. Students must receive advance written authorization to be allowed to register for cross-level courses. Refer to the cross-registration policy prior to contacting your academic advisor. If you need to submit a petition, reach out to your advisor regarding the type of petition you need to complete. Your advisor can provide the petition form to you or they can direct you to the right resource based on the petition type.
