Green Transformation (GX)

In the “UTokyo Compass,” a statement of the guiding principles of the University of Tokyo, which was made public on September 30, 2021, the University of Tokyo has positioned Green Transformation (GX) as one of the pillars of its action plan, which includes leading international GX. In the future, the University of Tokyo will accelerate specific initiatives, including the formulation of a roadmap to achieve virtually zero greenhouse gas emissions of the university as a business entity and collaboration with the local communities where its campuses are located.
