SSSP Virtual Poster Mini-Conference
The Program Committee is pleased to announce the Call for Abstracts for our first Virtual Poster Mini-Conference, to be held March 26-27, 2026!
We have heard from so many of our members who would like more virtual events to increase professional development, networking, and collaboration opportunities among our members who are not able to attend the in-person meeting, so we hope that this is a positive step in that direction.
Please share the Call for Abstracts widely throughout your networks, especially those that include students. We welcome posters sharing findings from completed studies, as well as those in progress.
Because SSSP-hosted virtual events are offered as a member benefit, all participants – including presenters and attendees – must be 2026 SSSP members and register for the event. You can also view the flyer here.
Posters should directly engage with SSSP’s stated purpose:
“to promote and protect sociological research and teaching on significant problems of social life…; to stimulate the application of scientific method and theory to the study of vital social problems; to encourage problem-centered social research; to foster cooperative relations among persons and organizations engaged in the application of scientific sociological findings to the formulation of social policies; to foster higher quality of life, social welfare, and positive social relations in society and the global community and to undertake any activity related thereto or necessary or desirable for the accomplishment of the foregoing purposes.”
Submission Deadline: February 15, 2026
Extended abstracts should be 200–500 words and include:
- Poster title
- Research methodology (as applicable)
- Citation list
- A brief description of the study and findings
Works in progress are welcome!
