A range of gastrointestinal (GI) and hepatobiliary specimens are received in the laboratory. Follow the links in the left hand menu to the relevant protocol required.
Endoscopic gastrointestinal biopsy specimens are all included in a single protocol for gastrointestinal endoscopic biopsies. This protocol is applicable to other small specimens taken during gastrointestinal procedures such as peritoneal biopsies.
Separate protocols are provided for polypectomies, liver and pancreas small biopsy specimens.
