The Nokia SR Linux Automation Expert Lab Exam is a three-and-a-half-hour practical lab exam that tests a candidate's ability to configure, program and troubleshoot YANG data model, gNMI, gNOI, gRIBI, JSON-RPC, ansible, NetOps development kit (NDK), CLI plugin, and event handler in Nokia SR Linux.

Exam notes and tips

During the exam, candidates will have access to soft copies of the product manuals only as reference material. The product manuals will be accessible from the PC used to access the exam equipment. Other notes, textbooks or reference materials are prohibited. Electronic devices, including cell phones, are also prohibited. For on-site lab exams, candidates will be provided with a pen and paper. Pen and paper are prohibited for virtual lab exams. The exam pass mark is 80 percent. Candidates must correctly complete specific parts of the exam to obtain full marks in later parts of the exam. Candidates must complete the exam within 3.5 hours.

Listed below are some tips to help candidates successfully prepare for and write the Nokia SR Linux Automation Expert Lab Exam:

1. Study all of the prerequisite student materials and labs. Review the exam preparation tab for more details.
2. Make sure to practice giving yourself enough time to double check your work and verify the correct operation of your solution.
3. Ask the proctor questions about anything unclear to you on the exam. The exam proctor will attempt to clarify any instructions or information that may be ambiguous. Do not expect the proctor to provide answers to the questions on the exam at any time.
4. Read each question very carefully. Be thorough in your solution, but remember to pace yourself appropriately.

Lab exams are delivered virtually directly through Nokia. To take the exam virtually, you must meet the system requirements below:

Virtual system requirements:

• A webcam and a microphone.
• A computer with a minimum of 4 Mbps end-to-end connection (wired network connections preferred).
• Windows 10 or Windows 11
• Candidates must have administrative privileges on the computer to download two applications, including an ExamPlayer image (17.5 GB), and have at least 60 GB of free hard disk space.
• 12 GB of RAM (6GB dedicated allocated memory for VMware Workstation application).
• Hardware virtualization support at CPU level on the PC (Intel VTx).
