The Follow-Up Seminar to the Judicial Symposium on Intellectual Property (JSIP) (the Lao PDR) was held on January 15, 2021.
On January 15, 2021 (Fri.), the Follow-Up Seminar to the Judicial Symposium on Intellectual Property 2019 was held on the theme of "Systems and Practices to Protect Intellectual Property Rights", which was co-organized by the Ministry of Justice of Japan and the People's Supreme Court of the Lao PDR. The seminar was held in a webinar style connecting the Lao PDR and Japan via an online conference system. From the Lao PDR, participants included judges and other officials from the People's Supreme Court, the People's Central High Court, the Vientiane Capital People's Court, the Department of Intellectual Property, the Ministry of Science and Technology, the General Customs Department of the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Public Security and the Lao Bar Association, and from Japan, many participants from a variety of professions took part in the seminar.
At the seminar, after the presentations from both sides on their intellectual property systems and practices, participants from the Lao PDR actively asked questions, and the participants from both sides engaged in the lively exchange of opinions.
