Teaching Materials for Junior High School Students
Why Do We Need Laws and Rules? ~Laws and Us~
Teaching materials for teachers to carry out law-related education for junior high school students.
Booklets (created in FY 2014) and audiovisual materials (created in FY 2018).
Teaching materials were created to make it easy for teachers who have been involved in law-related education, as well as those who have experienced hesitation when working with law-related education in classes.
The booklet consists of four subjects based on familiar and specific cases: "rulemaking", "private law and consumer protection", "the significance of the constitution" and "the judiciary". It also contains content that students can review independently.
In addition, there are practical teaching materials that clearly describe the flow of lessons and points to be considered, such as incorporating lesson plans and worksheets for an actual lesson, and the relationship between each subject and the Course of Study is described so that they can be used in schools.
The audiovisual materials are animated versions of the booklet contents.
Each of the animations on "rulemaking", "private law and consumer protection", "our lives and the constitution" and "the judiciary” are about 20 minutes long.
They are divided into chapters by scene such as "proposing problems" and "commentary" with the law-related education mascot character "Hourisu-kun", and it is possible not only to copy it in its entirety but also to use it partially depending on the class plan.
