Parliamentary Vice-Minister of Justice’s Visit to the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam
Mr. NAKANO Hideyuki, the Parliamentary Vice-Minister of Justice, visited the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam on 24 – 27 April 2024.
Parliamentary Vice-Minister Nakano attended the High-Level Forum of the JICA Project for legal technical cooperation in Viet Nam. At the forum, the project status were reported by the Chief Advisor of the JICA Project, as well as representatives of the Ministry of Justice, the Party Central Internal Affairs Committee, the Office of Government, the Supreme People’s Court, the Supreme People’s Procuracy and the Viet Nam Bar Federation. In his remarks, he expressed his gratitude to the relevant organizations for their contributions to the project and expectation for the success of the project. He emphasized the importance of close cooperation between the counterpart organizations and the JICA long-term experts dispatched from the Ministry of Justice of Japan and the opportunity of study visit to Japan to share knowledge and experiences.
In addition, Parliamentary Vice-Minister Nakano met with H.E. Mr. Le Thanh Long, Minister of Justice, H.E. Mr. Nguyen Quang Dung, Vice Prosecutor General of the Supreme People’s Procuracy and H.E. Mr. Nguyen Ba Hoan, Deputy Minister of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs respectively. In these occasions, Parliamentary Vice-Minister Nakano and these key government officials reaffirmed the necessity of further strengthening the friendships between both countries, discussed the implementation of the Joint Statement of the ASEAN-Japan Special Meeting of Justice Ministers, and exchanged views on the issues regarding the Specified Skilled Worker System and the Technical Intern Training Program.
