Courtesy Visit to the Minister of Justice by the Ambassador of Cambodia to Japan
On January 19, 2024, Minister KOIZUMI Ryuji received a courtesy visit by H.E. Mr. TUY Ry, the Ambassador of Cambodia to Japan.
Minister Koizumi welcomed Ambassador Ry and they had a fruitful discussion on the legal technical assistance that Japan has provided to Cambodia for many years. In addition, the Minister asked the Ambassador for his assistance to send next-generation officials from Cambodia to the Next Leaders Forum where ASEAN and G7 next-generation officials serving in the field of law and justice meet to discuss, which was proposed by Japan as the outcome of the Ministerial Forum on Justice Affairs Diplomacy held last July.
Moreover, they agreed to further enhance the mutual understanding and cooperation in the field of law and justice and further strengthen the friendly relations between the two countries.
