Courtesy Visit to the Minister of Justice by the Minister of Justice of the Democratic Republic of Timor-Leste

On February 14, 2023, Mr. SAITO Ken, the Minister of Justice received a courtesy visit by H.E. Mr. Tiago Amaral Sarmento, the Minister of Justice of the Democratic Republic of Timor-Leste.

Minister Saito welcomed Minister Sarmento and offered congratulations to him on the admission in principle of the Democratic Republic of Timor-Leste to the ASEAN as the group’s 11th member. During the meeting, they agreed to further strengthen cooperation between the two countries in the field of law and justice to maintain peace and stability in the Indo-Pacific region.
