Justice Minister Received Courtesy Call from Ambassador of the French Republic to Japan
On March 15, 2022, Minister Furukawa received a courtesy call from H.E. Mr. Philippe Setton, Ambassador of the French Republic to Japan.
Ambassador Setton and Minister Furukawa discussed the current situation in Ukraine and confirmed that, as countries that share fundamental values such as the rule of law and respect for fundamental human rights, France and Japan will work together to promote these values in the international community and contribute to upholding the rules-based international order. Ambassador Setton and Minister Furukawa also discussed measures to deepen mutual understanding and cooperation between the two countries in the field of legal affairs and justice.
