Justice Minister delivers statement at High-level Debate of General Assembly (April 22, 2021)
On April 22, 2021, Minister Kamikawa participated in High-level Debate of General Assembly on Urban Safety, Security and Governance: Making Crime Prevention a Priority for All.
In her video statement, referring to the Kyoto Declaration which has a dedicated text on tailor-made crime prevention strategies that take into account local contexts to prevent urban crime, Minister Kamikawa encouraged all Member States to implement the Kyoto Declaration in a steady manner and emphasized that, using the Declaration as a new compass, Japan would continue to work with all stakeholders to realize a society where no one is left behind.
