Justice Minister delivers a speech at an online seminar in the United States
On October 1, 2020, Justice Minister Kamikawa participated in an online seminar organized by the Sasakawa Peace Foundation USA on the theme of "Advancing Diversity and Inclusion during COVID-19."
At the beginning of the seminar, Minister Kamikawa delivered a speech on the current situation of Women’s Empowerment in Japan, the 14th United Nations Congress on Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice, which is to be held in Kyoto in March 2021, and measures against COVID-19 in detention facilities.
In addition to engaging in active discussions with the participants, Minister Kamikawa stressed the importance of fostering the younger generations and encouraged young people from the United States to participate in the Youth Forum held in February 2021.
