Justice Minister Yamashita received a courtesy call from Mr. Abihai Mandelblit, the Attorney General of Israel on May 14, 2019.
The Minister welcomed Attorney General Mandelblit to the Ministry of Justice of Japan, and they exchanged views on countering terrorism and dealing with illegal immigrants. The Minister also encouraged high-level representatives from Israel to participate in the 14th United Nations Congress on Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice, which is to be held in April 2020 in Kyoto.
