Courtesy Visit to the Minister of Justice by the President of the International Criminal Court (ICC)
On 4 August 2025, Mr. SUZUKI Keisuke, Minister of Justice of Japan received a courtesy visit by Ms. AKANE Tomoko, the President of the International Criminal Court (ICC).
Minister SUZUKI paid tribute to the efforts of President AKANE to maintain and strengthen the rule of law in the international community and conveyed that the Ministry of Justice will continue to strongly support the activities of the ICC in cooperation with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
They also exchanged views on the importance of the cooperation between the Ministry of Justice and the ICC and of the development of human resources in the international legal field.
