Minister Saito Holds Meeting with Minister of Industry and Commerce Malaythong Kommasith of Lao PDR

On Saturday, December 16, 2023, Mr. Saito Ken, Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry, held a meeting with H.E. Mr. Malaythong Kommasith, Minister of Industry and Commerce of Lao PDR, and exchanged views on co-creation initiatives between the two countries.
During the meeting, the two ministers confirmed collaboration towards strengthening cooperation in GX and DX in Japan-ASEAN with Lao PDR, which will serve as the ASEAN chair country next year. In addition, they exchanged views on initiatives towards co-creation to create the future of both Japan and Lao PDR together, covering topics such as clean energy and smart agriculture.
