1. Meeting with Minister Supamas

On Tuesday, November 14, Mr. Yoshida Nobuhiro, Parliamentary Vice-Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry received a courtesy call from Mr. Josh Green, Governor of the State of Hawaii, who was visiting Japan. During the courtesy call, they exchanged views on the situation of the wildfire that occurred on the island of Maui in August, efforts towards recovery, and specific examples of cooperation between Japan and the State of Hawaii in areas such as energy.
In particular, both sides shared the understanding of the importance of continuing cooperation involving both the public and private sectors in fields related to clean energy such as solar power and hydrogen. Governor Green also expressed his hope for an increase in visitors from Japan to Hawaii.
