On Tuesday, May 9, Parliamentary Vice Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry Satomi participated in the Japan-Bahrain Business Forum with Minister of Industry and Commerce H.E. Abdullah bin Adel Fakhro, and Minister of Sustainable Development H.E. Noor bint Ali Al Khulaif, of the Kingdom of Bahrain.
In his opening remarks, Mr. Satomi expressed his anticipation for the potential of Japanese startups in solving societal issues in Middle Eastern countries and for collaboration with Bahrain, which has geographical advantages and potential.
The forum also featured speeches and panel discussions by JETRO and companies from both countries, as well as networking opportunities between companies and officials from both countries, with the aims of encouraging Japanese companies to enter the Bahrain market, investment in Japan by Bahraini investment institutions, and strengthening economic ties between the two countries.
