2. Bangkok Goals on BCG Economy

The Bangkok Goals on the BCG Economy issued at the Economic Leaders' Meeting were adopted. The summary is as follows.

• APEC will encourage efforts to address climate change issues while referring to the Paris Agreement and SDGs.
• Regarding energy, it will encourage cooperation toward a transition to clean, low-carbon energy while ensuring energy security and resilience.

3. Joint Ministerial Statement

The APEC Ministerial Meeting was held in-person in Thailand on November 17 (JST).
After the meeting, a Joint Ministerial Statement was issued under the themes proposed by Thailand, "Open. Connect. Balance." This is the first joint statement to be issued during a ministerial meeting related to APEC this year.
