At the meeting, they discussed bilateral cooperation, energy security and other issues in light of the situation in Ukraine in preparation for the G7 Climate, Energy and Environment Ministers Meeting hosted by Germany. Minister Hagiuda made remarks on the need to diversify oil and natural gas supply, promote upstream development investment, and diversify energy sources, and confirmed the importance of cooperative efforts based on the various positions of each country.
