State Minister Hosoda Receives Courtesy Call from Mr. Francesco La Camera, Director-General of the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA)

On April 11 (Mon.), Mr. Hosoda Kenichi, State Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry, received a courtesy call from Mr. Francesco La Camera, Director-General of the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA), in which the two exchanged views on further cooperation in the renewable energy field and on other topics.
On April 11 (Mon.), METI State Minister Hosoda received a courtesy call from Mr. Francesco La Camera, Director-General of IRENA. State Minister Hosoda conveyed the importance of achieving carbon neutrality and a stable energy supply, as well as what he hopes for from IRENA's initiatives under Director-General La Camera.
The leaders also exchanged views on several topics, such as cooperation toward introducing renewable energy on a worldwide scale. Japan's initiatives were part of said discussion.
