1. Background and purpose

Toward the goal of achieving carbon neutrality by 2050, a Green Innovation Fund has been established under the New Energy and Industrial Technology Development Organization (NEDO). In this fund program, field-specific working groups established under the Green Innovation Project Committee, Industrial Structure Council deliberate on issues such as the priority and appropriateness of the amount to be implemented by the fund for each project. Then, the divisions and offices in charge of the project at the responsible ministries formulate the contents of each project as an "R&D and Social Implementation Plan," and start calls for applicants.
Based on discussions at the Working Group on the Field of Industry Structure Transformation, METI has formulated an R&D and Social Implementation Plan for automobile-related projects. In response to this, NEDO has started calling for automobile-related project applicants.

2. Call for applicants for the automobile-related projects

From today until April 27 (Wed.), NEDO is calling for applicants for the "Development of In-Vehicle Computing and Simulation Technologies for Improving Energy Efficiency of Electrified Vehicles and Other Vehicles" and "Smart Mobility Society Construction" projects. 3. Future schedule

After the public call ends, NEDO will review the applications. The projects are scheduled to begin from June.
