Briefing Session on the current status of Multi-nuclide removal equipment (ALPS) treated water was held on the 22nd of December, 2021.
On Wednesday, the 22nd of December, the Government of Japan organized a video conference briefing session on the current status of Multi-nuclide removal equipment (ALPS) treated water at Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Station (FDNPS) for all diplomatic missions in Tokyo.
In the session, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Agency for Natural Resources and Energy, and TEPCO explained the outline of TEPCO’s application for approval to amend the implementation plan for the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Station submitted to the Nuclear Regulation Authority on December 21st, which was followed by a Q&A session.
The Government of Japan continues to explain the situation of the FDNPS to the international community in a transparent manner in close collaboration among all the related Ministries and Agencies.
