Call Starts for Applicants for Next-Generation Solar Cell Development Projects
October 1, 2021
Today, the New Energy and Industrial Technology Development Organization (NEDO) has started a call for applicants for "next-generation solar cell development" projects that will be implemented using the Green Innovation Fund.
1. Background and purpose
Toward the goal of achieving carbon neutrality by 2050, a Green Innovation Fund has been established under the New Energy and Industrial Technology Development Organization (NEDO). In this fund program, field-specific working groups established under the Green Innovation Project Committee, Industrial Structure Council, deliberate on issues such as the priority and appropriateness of the amount to be implemented by the fund for each project. Then, the divisions and offices in charge of the project at the responsible ministries formulate the contents of each project as an "R&D and Social Implementation Plan," and start calling for applicants.
Based on discussions at the Working Group on the Field of Green Power Promotion, METI has formulated an R&D and Social Implementation Plan for "next-generation solar cell development" projects. In response to this, NEDO has started calling for applicants for the "next-generation solar cell development" projects.
2. Call for applicants for the "next-generation solar cell development" projects
From today until November 15 (Mon.), NEDO is calling for applicants for the "next-generation solar cell development" projects. For details, please check NEDO's public call information at the link below.
