The CollapsibleVector extension is used for bring back the collapsible navigation portals to the sidebar that were removed from Vector skin.

Installation

  • Download and move the extracted CollapsibleVector folder to your extensions/ directory.
    Developers and code contributors should install the extension from Git instead, using:
    cdextensions/
gitclonehttps://gerrit.wikimedia.org/r/mediawiki/extensions/CollapsibleVector
  • Add the following code at the bottom of your LocalSettings.php file: 
    wfLoadExtension( 'CollapsibleVector' );
  • Yes Done – Navigate to Special:Version on your wiki to verify that the extension is successfully installed.

CollapsibleNav

Make the sections in the left navigation collapsible/expandable.

Enabled by default. Set false to disable CollapsibleNav globally. 

$wgCollapsibleVectorFeatures['collapsiblenav']['global'] = false;

Allow users to enable CollapsibleNav in their preferences. 

$wgCollapsibleVectorFeatures['collapsiblenav']['user'] = true;
